Our Story
Rooted in Love, Guided by Nature
Roots Riding Stables was born from a shared love of horses, family, and the unspoiled beauty of Saint Lucia. We are a husband, wife, and son — along with Luther, our beloved Labradoodle who proudly believes he’s one of the herd. Together, with a team who share our values, we’ve built a place where horses, people, and nature live in harmony.
A Family Grounded in Horses
Our journey is a blend of two worlds — my husband, who grew up right here in Saint Lucia, working at local stables and guiding tours along these very beaches; and myself, who grew up in the UK surrounded by horses. When our family made the move to Saint Lucia, our son quickly discovered his own passion for riding. It felt only natural that horses became a part of our daily life — and our future.
The Inspiration Behind Roots
Our dream began with a simple wish: to share the unforgettable experience of riding through tropical trails and swimming with horses in the Caribbean Sea. But we also wanted to create something more — a space that raises the standards of horse care in Saint Lucia and gives back to the land and community that inspires us every day.
Many of our horses have been rescued and rehabilitated, and each one now lives a life filled with love, freedom, and respect. At Roots, every horse is treated like family — cared for with professional veterinary oversight, compassion, and patience.

To us, Roots is more than a name — it’s a way of life.
It means being grounded in nature, respecting every creature, and leading with love in all that we do.
